What do you have to arrange yourself?

If you want to move to Ireland it will be important to obtain the right visa. You can do so freely for up to 90 days if you’re a citizen from the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland or the UK. If you want to remain in an EU, EEA state or Switzerland for more than 90 days, you may be asked to show that you are:

  • In employment
  • Self-employed
  • A full time student with health insurance and money to support yourself
  • You have money to support yourself and health insurance (for you and your family) without state assistance

For more information about your rights in Ireland if you’re a citizen from the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland or the UK, please visit the Irish citizen information website. If you’re from outside this area you’ll need permission to enter Ireland.

So where can I find more information about getting a visa in Ireland? The best place with the most information is the Irish citizen information website. Here you will find all the information about the different types of visas available and their requirements. All information comes directly from the Irish government, so it will be correct. There are four types of visas, click on the link to apply for the right visa:

Do you want to apply for a visa? You can do so through this portal. There is information on how to complete an online application in English as well as in Arabic, Chinese, Russian, Hindi, French, Turkish and Urdu. You should apply at least 8 weeks before you plan to come to Ireland. Details of the photographic requirements and current processing times are on the ISD website.

Can I become an Irish Citizen?

Can I become an Irish citizen? Yes, there are several ways of acquiring Irish nationality. You automatically become an Irish national if one of your parents is Irish when you were born before 2005. If you, or your parent, were born on the island of Ireland on or after 1 January 2005, your right to Irish citizenship depends on:

  • the parents’ citizenship at the time of the birth
  • the residency history of one of the parents before the birth
  • More information on citizenship and applying for a passport

Foreign nationals can apply for Irish nationality through naturalisation. There are multiple ways for foreign nationals to obtain Irish citizenship. The Department of Foreign Affairs provides more information about becoming an Irish national through or naturalisation. The Minister for Justice and Equality is responsible for deciding who is eligible to apply for Irish citizenship through the naturalisation process. How do we proceed?

The process of moving to Ireland is different for every client, it depends on which country you’re moving from and if you’re already an Irish citizen. But our system stays the same! The employees of our partners will pack your household goods in seaworthy packaging, after which they will be transported by sea, while small consignments will be sent by air.

They will visit you at your home and will discuss with you what is required in order to emigrate to Ireland.
